Get it right..... and it’s like having a petrol tank that never empties.
| | | | | Charging Your EV If you have ever charged a mobile phone then you will be able to charge your new electric car….because it is as easy as charging a mobile phone.. Like your phone when you want to charge it up…..you plug it in and get on with doing whatever it is your doing, you don’t give it a second thought…..later you come back and your phone is all charged up ready to go. Well it is just the same with your converted electric car. You get home.. get out your extension cord plug in the car and go inside ..the smart onboard charger will take care of the rest….so that when you come back to your car it is charged and ready to go again. Unplug and away you go. Now does that sound nicer than waiting inline to get petrol on a Tuesday morning, then breathing in the petrol fumes while you fill up your tank..and for that privilege you then get to pay the man with a lot of real dollars.
The idle capacity of the electric power grid is an underutilized national asset that could be tapped to vastly reduce our dependence on foreign oil."
The enormous positive environmental impact with an all-out move to an all electric fleet would see Australians become a country that is prepared to make investments in our legacy for future generations.... In the long run, the demand for electricity paid for by a totally new market entrant is likely to result in investments in much greener power plants. Even if coal remains the dominant fuel for our electricity production the widespread adoption of electric vehicles is an extremely positive move forward for healthier communities and the environment. With cars charging overnight, the electric utilities would get a brand new market for their product with out them having to spend a cent on any new infrastructure. We can use the excess capacity generated at night to store in our cars batteries so we can use it the next day to get about in our lives.

Can I use solar power to charge my EV?
A: Yes. If you drive 15,000 km annually, you will need 3,000 to 4,000 kWh. A 1.5 to 3 kW PV system, can generate that for you. EV's make investment in individual or business solar systems more compelling. By generating your own electricity, you can drive virtually cost and pollution-free for up to 30 years.
